1980 Olympic regatta in Tallinn, Pirita
Pirita Marina Hotel & SPA is a former Olympic Village and part of Tallinn Olympic Sailing Center. Hotel hosted first guests in July 1979 during Spartakiade of Nations. Olympic Village was officially opened in 28.06.1980
Tallinn Olympic Sailing Center was rewarded in 1983 with special prize of Union Internationale des Architectes (UIA) biennale and therefore Hotel is under heritage protection as an architectural monument because for unique concrete construction and numerous objects of interior design.
2th June 1980 the opening ceremony of Tallinn Olympic Sailing Center.
28th June 1980 the opening of the Olympic Village, named Hotel Sport.
1995 Hotel Sport was renamed Hotel Pirita, only seaside wing remained the Hotel and reception was moved from the ground floor lobby to 2nd floor of seaside wing. Landside wing continued as an office building.
2002 Tallinn Olympic Sailing Center (TOP)was pivatized and extensive renovations started by new operator started.
2003 Hotel Pirita was renamed Pirita TOP SPA.
2007 Restaurant with seaview Regatta and wellness center were opened.
2008 Tallink Hotel Group buyed Pirita TOP SPA and hotel was renamed Pirita Spa Hotel.
2018 Tallink Hotel Group sold Pirita Spa Hotel, hotel got new operator BRE Hotels and was renamed Pirita Marina Hotel & SPA.
2020 Hotel celebrates 40th anniversary and in this occasion will be established museum/exhibition of the Hotel and Tallinn 1980 Olympic souvenirs.
